The Spirit of Tibet is a traditional Tibetan restaurant, located in Forest Glen very close to the Buderim Fiesta Motel (being only a four minute drive away). The restaurant is located within the grounds of the BIG 4 Holiday Resort. Jampa, the chief chef (and owner) of the restaurant, previously ran a very popular restaurant in Mooloolaba for 9 years, before opening the Spirit of Tibet in Forest Glen. Jampa prides himself on creating memorable exquisite Tibetan cuisine for the Sunshine Coast community and visitors, leaving everyone with a taste of his home country. This fine restaurant also caters for weddings and functions.

The ‘Spirit of Tibet’ offers Tibetan dishes that cater for all types of people’s tastes, ensuring guests are happy and content. You could ask that most meals are mild or medium in spice. However, if you are a dare devil with a more adventurous streak and like the excitement of trying new things, you can order the ‘Himalayan Goat Vindaroo’ extra spicy. Jampa cooks authentic Tibetan meals and the menu compromises a variety of dishes. Dishes include momos, Tibetan beef curry, Himalayan goat vindaloo, lamb with cashew, lamb with spinach, chicken shashi, spicy prawns, dhofu vegetarian curry, potato and curry flour curry (to name some of the listings on the menu). The restaurant also caters for children by offering a children’s menu that includes chicken nuggets and chips, children’s chicken curry or children’s lamb curry. Deserts consist of home-made rice pudding or mango ice-cream.
